🎓 The Anthony Beeler Virtual Billiard Academy College Scholarship
The Anthony Beeler Virtual Billiard Academy Scholarship was created to support students who demonstrate discipline, focus, and personal growth through the game of billiards. The Professional Billiard Instructors Association believes that cue sports develops strategic thinking, patience, and resilience—skills that translate into academic and professional excellence.
This annual scholarship is open to students pursuing any field of study at an accredited Kentucky college or university.

If so, the Anthony Beeler Virtual Billiard Academy College Scholarship might be exactly what you’re looking for. Created to honor students whose lives have been shaped by the discipline, focus, and strategy of cue sports, this annual award recognizes players who carry the lessons learned at the billiard table into their academic and personal success. If billiards has influenced your journey in a meaningful way, this scholarship gives you a chance to share your story and earn support toward your college education.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:

Be currently enrolled or accepted into an accredited college or university in the United States
-
Be enrolled at least full-time during the upcoming academic year
-
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
-
Submit a 1,000-word (or less) essay on:
“How the Game of Billiards Has Influenced My Life.”
-
Provide basic contact information and proof of enrollment
All majors and academic disciplines are welcome.
Scholarship Essay Prompt
In 1,000 words or less, describe how billiards has influenced your life.
Students may discuss:

skills the game has taught them
-
life lessons learned
-
personal or academic growth
-
meaningful experiences surrounding the sport
-
how the discipline of cue sports shapes their goals or character
Essays should be personal, reflective, and sincere.

Selection Criteria
Recipients are evaluated based on:

demonstrated impact of billiards on the applicant’s life

Award Details

One winner receives $500 or two individuals may receive $250
-
Funds are sent directly to the student’s college financial aid office
-
The award is for tuition or educational expenses
-
Students may reapply annually.
