ANTHONY BEELER

 

Anthony Beeler has been a professional educator since 1999, beginning his career at just 23 years old. He holds two master’s degrees, has taught students across the K–12 spectrum, written extensively about billiards and won more than 300 tournaments. His competitive résumé includes going hill-hill with Shane Van Boening, and he has represented McDermott Cues since 2012.

 

Despite those accomplishments, Beeler’s greatest contribution has been helping players improve through structured, internet-based instruction and individualized feedback. Students submit videos as they progress through his coursework, allowing Beeler to analyze their mechanics, identify weaknesses and provide specific guidance on what they should address next. This personalized approach helps players advance more quickly than they might through independent practice alone.

 

Because of his pioneering work, Beeler has become commonly known as the Father of Online Billiards Instruction.

 

Long before online pool coaching became common, Beeler was already laying the groundwork for what would eventually become Beeler’s Virtual Billiard Academy. In 2010, PoolTeacher.com did not yet exist, and Beeler was primarily providing lessons in person. His reputation spread rapidly through word of mouth as players began recognizing the depth and effectiveness of his instruction.

 

PoolTeacher.com was launched in 2011, and Beeler’s online academy continued to grow from there. However, his ability to build a professional virtual learning environment was not developed overnight. Before launching the website, Beeler had already gained extensive experience in traditional education and virtual instruction, working alongside some of the country’s leading online educators.

 

That experience gave him a significant advantage as a billiards instructor. He understood how to organize coursework, evaluate student performance, provide meaningful feedback and manage a professional virtual classroom long before online billiards instruction became widely accepted.

 

His background reflects an educator at every level—a classroom teacher, virtual instructor, author, coach  mentor and pro level player. Beeler did not simply place pool lessons on the internet; he created a structured educational model that allowed players anywhere in the world to receive individualized, professional instruction.

 

That combination of teaching experience, competitive credibility and technological innovation helped establish Beeler as one of the most influential instructors in modern billiards and earned him recognition as the Father of Online Billiards Instruction.
